Loana Flores (Buenos Aires, 1987) is a designer & multidisciplinary artist Her work compiles diverse resources and lived experiences through an ecofeminist lens. She cocreate with matter as an starting point for exploration and an essential practices to understand transformation processes.
Using organic waste in combination with biodesign, digital fabrication, ancestral and domèstic techniques, she alters states of matter to reveal their latent possibilities. Through this process, she draws parallels between material properties–such as flexibility and transparency–and the values that enable coexistence.
Drawing on her textile background, she combines unconventional materials with traditional processes, such as spinning, printing, and weaving, to open new paths of creation. Loana regularly facilitates international workshops, talks, and seminars as part of her collaborative and research–based practice.
